Travel Vaccines

Purpose

To reduce morbidity and mortality of vaccine preventable diseases.

Effective March 1, 2019 Riley County Health Department will have a limited travel vaccine program.

We will offer: 

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Tetanus
  • Pre-exposure Rabies

All travel vaccines services are by appointment only. Bring a copy of your immunization records. 

We will no longer offer the following travel vaccines: 

  • Yellow Fever
  • Typhoid
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Cholera

Note: Due to a limited supply from the manufacturer, the only Kansas location providing the Yellow Fever vaccination is

  • Some vaccines require a special order by the pharmacy
  • Some vaccines require several doses to be effective
  • To determine which vaccines are needed for your travels, visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Travelers’ Health website.
